      | Finally, a brief update on the
site.
I ventured out to my first show in over six months
on March 2nd to show at the Western Classic. "Solo" was short-listed for Group in
the first show under Mr. K Edh (Sweden), and then got Reserve Challenge to Jenny Sayers
boy Ch. Chinaroad Kopy Kat (Tommy), at the second show.

 A new format was used
this year and we had both shows running at once, plus a split Toy Group. I guess
it worked well for those with only one breed, but two or more in the same Group
and it was impossible! I ended up missing a Crested class as I was in another ring.
I hope the committee doesn't decide on the same format next year!

      | Helena Fitzgerald was
heading down to the Albany shows on February 16th & 17th. She took
"Solo" along for the ride, and came home with a double Best of
Breed and a R/U Best Exhibit in Group under Mr. M. and Mrs. L. Gunter
(NSW). Thank you Helena, for putting up with the terror.

      | Friends of mine are in England,
attending Crufts. We usually have a morning tea each Wednesday, so they will be
missed!  :O)   After all the heat waves and lack of rain in
Western Australia, they will be enjoying the cool.
 Speaking of rain, we
have actually enjoyed a lovely gentle rain for a few hours today. Lots of
thunder, but not much storm. After what seems like months of temperatures in the
high 30's to mid 40's, it's a welcome relief, believe me!

      | I am still not well and
will be laying low again this year after the Contest of Winners on March 15th. This is Solo's fifth consecutive invitation to
the Contest, so I feel very honoured. Meanwhile I apologise for the lack
of updates but my heart hasn't been in it.

Owning a dog is a commitment know your time constraints, research breed traits, plan to include your pet in your family activities and life.
A pet is for life! In 2005 and 2006 the Australian Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals alone euthanased 68,190 animals nationally. This figure doesn't include animals euthanased in council
pounds! Can YOU live with that?
